아침산책 - 떠나지 않아도 벌써 그립다

영하의 날씨임에도 별로 춥지 않았다.

바람이 잔잔해서였을 것이다.

하늘에 구름이 끼었지만 그 구름 때문에 황홀한 일출을 만날 수 있었다.

 

산책길,

바다엔 세 명의 서퍼들이 파도를 기다리고 있었고

갈매기들이 바닷가에 모여 있었다.

 

파도도 거세지 않아서

"완벽한 평화가 거기 있었다."라고 말할 수 있을 정도였다.

 

나는 내일 일주일 동안 크루즈 여행을 떠난다.

아직 출발도 하지 않았는데

나는 벌써 내 집이 있는 Rockaway의 바다가 그립다.

 

Morning Walk – Missing It Before I Even Leave

 

Despite the subzero temperature, it didn’t feel too cold.

Perhaps because the wind was calm.

The sky was covered with clouds, but thanks to them, I was able to witness a breathtaking sunrise.

On my walk,

Three surfers were waiting for waves in the sea,
And seagulls were gathering along the shore.

The waves were gentle,
So much so that I could say,
"Perfect peace was there."

Tomorrow, I will leave for a week-long cruise.

I haven't even departed yet,
But I already miss the sea of Rockaway, where my home is.
