Good Night and Good Bye Rockaway

하루 종일 아름다웠다.

하늘이 그렇고, 공기와 바람이 그랬다.

하루를 아름답고 차분한 마음으로 보냈다.

내일 아침엔 미 동서횡단 여행을 떠난다.

 

아름다운 곳을 찾아서,

파랑새를 찾아서 3 주 조금 넘는 시간 동안 여행을 할 예정이다.

 

그러나 나는 안다.

아름다운 곳을 찾아 여행을 하면서

나는 내 집이 있는 Rockaway를 그리워할 것을-----

 

저녁에 roof top에 올라 석양을 보았다.

어디서 이렇게 아름다운 일몰을 만날 수 있을까?

 

떠나지 않았는데도

나는 벌써 Rockaway를 그리워하는 열병에 걸린 것 같다.

It was beautiful all day long.

The sky, the air, and the wind were all like that.

I spent the day with a peaceful and beautiful mind.

Tomorrow morning, I will set off on a cross-country trip across the United States.

In search of beautiful places,

in search of the bluebird, I plan to travel for just over three weeks.

But I know.

While traveling in search of beautiful places,

I will miss my home in Rockaway...

In the evening, I went up to the rooftop to watch the sunset.

Where else could I encounter such a beautiful sunset?

Even though I haven't left yet,

I feel like I've already caught the fever of missing Rockaway.
