Rain Beyond the Window
 
I woke to find rain falling beyond the window.
The world, it seems, has come to a hush—
everything stilled,
save for the raindrops
whispering movement into the morning.
I gaze, unhurried,
at the taut tension of drops
falling from the balcony roof—
a silent music,
unfolding without demand.
