순결한 아침, 아름다운 만남
아름다운 아침이었다.
하늘이 바다가, 그리고 떠오르는 아침해가 그랬다.
아침해가 떠오를 즈음 바닷가에서
어떤 커플이 결혼식을 하는 것을 보았다.
아무런 장식도, 음악도 없었지만
세상 그 어떤 결혼식보다 아름다웠다.
밝아오는 하늘빛, 파도가 연주하는 음악이
두 사람을 축복해 주는 것 같았다.
순결한 아침에 두 사람이 부부로 태어나는 순간
두둥실 해가 떠 올랐다.
오늘부터, 그리고 내일도 모레도. 그리고 아주 오랫동안
두 사람이 맞이할 아침이 아름답길 마음속으로 기도했다.
A Pure Morning, A Beautiful Encounter
It was a beautiful morning.
The sky, the sea,
and the rising sun all whispered of beauty.
As the first light unfurled along the shore,
I saw a couple exchanging vows.
No ornaments, no music —
yet it was more beautiful than any wedding on earth.
The brightening sky,
the waves composing their own hymn,
seemed to bless the two.
In the pure embrace of morning,
as they were born into husband and wife,
the sun floated up, soft and proud.
From this day, and for countless mornings to come,
I offered a silent prayer:
that every dawn they meet
be just as beautiful.
